Mwingi West MP aspirant Jonathan Ngenga Ndisya on Friday successfully applied for the adjournment of his fraud case at the Milimani Law Courts.
Ngenga, a director at Joncil Enterprises, appeared before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina for the hearing of the case. However, he informed the court that his advocate, Joe Mwangi, was unable to attend due to an emergency that required him to travel upcountry.

“Your Honour, my advocate has not been able to attend today’s court after he got an emergency and had to rush home to attend to it. It is my prayer that we postpone the hearing to another date,” Ngenga told the court.
The magistrate allowed the request and directed that the matter be mentioned virtually on March 2, 2026.
Ngenga and his co-accused, Peter Kamau, are charged with conspiracy to defraud contrary to Section 317 of the Penal Code and obtaining money by false pretences, among other charges.
According to the charge sheet, between July 1, 2018, and March 31, 2020, the two allegedly conspired to defraud Agro Irrigation and Pump Services Limited of Ksh106,822,690 by falsely pretending that Joncil Enterprises had deposited the amount into the company’s bank account for goods supplied.
Ngenga faces an additional count of obtaining money by false pretences, with the prosecution alleging that he falsely claimed to have deposited the said amount into the company’s bank account between July 1, 2018, and March 12, 2020.
Kamau, who was employed as an accountant at Agro Irrigation and Pump Services Limited, is also charged with stealing by fraudulently transferring Ksh4,777,094 to his personal account between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2019.
In a separate count, Kamau is accused of stealing Ksh3,500,000 from Desire Flora (K) Limited by transferring the money to his personal account during his employment.
He also faces a charge of fraudulent false accounting for allegedly indicating that Joncil Enterprises had paid Ksh106,822,690 to Agro Irrigation and Pump Services Limited.
The case will be mentioned on March 2, 2026.
