Former Catholic Diocese of Embu bishop Paul Kariuki has officially been installed as the first bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wote in a colorful ceremony held at Unoa Grounds, Makueni County.
The installation ceremony was presided by the Apostilic Nuncio to Kenya and Southern Sudan , H.E Hubertus Maria Van Megen.
The Cathedra Seat , which in Roman Catholic Church symbolizes bishops throne , will be placed at St JosephThe Worker Parish , Wote, where the bishop shall be presiding from.
His Lordship Rt Rev. Paul has during hi installation , accepted the call to be the first bishop of the newborn diocese.
Before his appointment , Bishop Kariuki was serving as the third bishop of Embu for 14 years.
