Principal Secretary for Livestock Jonathan Mueke has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting girls’ education, digital literacy and innovation following a visit to Chuluni Girls High School on Saturday, where he encouraged students to pursue academic excellence ahead of their upcoming national examinations.
During the visit, Mueke shared a meal with the students and urged them to remain focused, believe in themselves and approach their examinations with confidence, emphasizing that education remains a vital foundation for their future success.

He encouraged the girls to pursue their ambitions with determination, assuring them that their dreams were valid and that they had the potential to excel academically and contribute meaningfully to society.
“My vision is to see these girls excel academically and, more importantly, embrace technology and become the next generation of innovators,” Mueke said.
His message underscored the importance of equipping learners with digital skills and technological knowledge to prepare them for emerging opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Mueke Inspects Construction of Modern Library and ICT Centre
The Principal Secretary also inspected the ongoing construction of a modern library and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre at the school, a personal contribution he said was aimed at expanding learning opportunities for the students.

The facility is expected to improve access to educational resources, promote a reading culture and provide students with an environment to develop essential digital skills.
Mueke described the project as an investment in the girls’ education and long-term prospects, emphasizing the role of modern learning infrastructure in preparing students for future challenges.

“This is more than a building project; it is an investment in their knowledge, digital skills and future,” he said.
As the students prepare for their national examinations, the initiative underscores the importance of combining academic encouragement with access to modern learning facilities to help girls excel in school and prepare for future opportunities in technology and innovation.
