Kenya Power has rolled out free update exercise on prepaid token metres approximated to over 7 millions.
The exercise which has kicked off today will close down by end of August .
During the exercise Kenya Power will send prepaid customers reset and update codes via SMS to upgrade token devices to new vending platform .The 2 codes from Kenya Power will comprise of Reset Code and Update Code.
Customers will be required to ensure all previously purchased tokens are loaded to their meters before keying in the reset and update codes.
All prepaid meters that will not have been updated by the deadline date will stop accepting the tokens, reads a statement from Kenya Power
