It’s so sad that our community is only blessed with a lot of selfish and greedy leaders who care nothing about the community, but only care how to fill their own bellies and line up their pockets.
And this is why we are still lagging behind in almost everything except witchcraft.

You see, because of selfishness, we had to develop witchcraft so that anyone who shines in our community can be quickly eliminated. If your neighbours’s child is cleverer than yours, use witchcraft. If their animals and crops are doing better than yours, use witchcraft. If they get more money and buy a car before you, use witchcraft.
We completely have no concept of fair play and competition.
Most of us do not know how to fight fair or get challenged.
If someone challenges you academically, just use witchcraft on them.

It is no wonder that very few people in the community understand me when I critic Governor Malombe and the other leaders.
When I criticise or challenge our leaders with carefully thought out and well researched items, the common person only sees me as a threat that needs to be eliminated. I become a challenger who needs to be dealt with the Akamba way.
How sad.
In a county that possesses the greatest amount of wealth, we are still among the poorest in the country. Because we still do not want to challenge ourselves or our leaders to be any better.
I have looked at all our current leaders and I find most of them completely undeserving of the positions that they occupy.
Starting with our Governors and Members of Parliament/ Assembly.
Which Governor or Member of parliament has shown real concern for the community and done anything outside the box to help the community?
It’s nothing giving bursaries from CDF or giving tenders to build sand dams with the money from the National Government.
Let each leader show what they have done themselves to better the community using their own initiatives.
How much of their own money and resources have they set aside to assist the community?
All our leaders have kept quiet as cartels took illegal control of sand and charcoal sale in Kitui.

All our leaders have kept mum as the community plunged deeper and deeper into poverty because of all the unutilised resources like coal, gypsum and copper that lie deep in our soils in Ukambani.
As leaders drive around in huge cars and sleep in multi million mansions, where do the millions of their electorate sleep? How many of them can even afford to buy a bicycle?
It is time we asked these hard questions and put our leaders to task.
If you are scared to question them, then leave the critics like me to do our duty.
But soon, more and more eyes will be opened.
And all our leaders will be held to account.
