A Zambian Air Force helicopter carrying the remains of Malawi’s second in command the late Dr Saulos Chilima , has arrived in Lilongwe through Kamuzu International Airport this evening.

Zambian Air Force sent its helicopter and pilots to Malawi to help in the search and ferry the remains of the Malawian Vice President to the capital.
Malawi and Zambia are like siblings. They share common values, history, language, culture, and border.
They were one country, along with Zimbabwe, under the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. Malawi has a large Zambian diaspora and Zambia has a large Malawian diaspora.
President Dr Lazarus Chakwera joined Malawians in welcoming the Vice President’s body, he was accompanied by government ministers and other officials.

Malawian Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine other people died when the small military plane they were traveling in crashed in bad weather in a mountainous region in the northern part of the country, the president said Tuesday.
