Molo MP Kuria Kimani has addressed rumors suggesting that he may replace Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro as the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Budget and Appropriations Committee. Speaking to reporters, Kimani revealed that he has not received any formal communication regarding the alleged leadership changes but maintained his readiness to serve should the changes materialize.

“I am not privy to any communication about leadership changes in the committee,” Kimani stated. “However, should the communication come, I will gladly take the position. I am always ready to serve Kenyans from any position.”
Speculation is rife that President William Ruto’s administration is planning to remove allies of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua from several key leadership positions in the National Assembly. Ndindi Nyoro, a staunch supporter of Gachagua, has been at the helm of the powerful Budget and Appropriations Committee, which oversees the scrutiny and approval of the government’s fiscal plans.

Political analysts view the rumored shake-up as a strategic move to consolidate the President’s influence within the legislature. If implemented, it could signal a growing rift between Ruto and Gachagua, who have faced mounting scrutiny over their political alliance in recent months.
Kimani’s remarks come amid heightened political tension, with observers noting that leadership changes in key committees could reshape the parliamentary power dynamics. While Nyoro has yet to comment on the matter, the potential shift has ignited debate about the administration’s approach to managing internal party rivalries.

As the nation awaits confirmation or dismissal of the rumored reshuffle, all eyes remain on the National Assembly, where the implications of these changes could reverberate far beyond parliamentary chambers.
