Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has weighed in on the ongoing speculation surrounding a potential impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Speaking on the matter briefly after attendinga memorial service for victims of Hillside Endarasha Academy in Nyeri County today , Musyoka asserted that any move to impeach the Deputy President should also target his boss, President William Ruto, stating that singling out Gachagua would be a distraction from the bigger picture.

“If Parliament is to entertain a motion to impeach the Deputy President, it should be conjoined with President Ruto. A singular focus on Gachagua only serves to divert attention from the real issues plaguing the country,” Musyoka remarked during a recent public address.

Kalonzo’s comments come amidst rising political tensions within the ruling coalition, with rumors of internal wrangles threatening to spill over into a full-blown political showdown in Parliament. The Wiper leader, however, was firm in his stance that any impeachment motion should address both the Deputy President and the President, insisting that the leadership cannot be separated.

The remarks are expected to stir further debate, especially given the increasingly vocal criticism aimed at the DP by various political factions, both within and outside the ruling party.
