Detectives from Lang’ata Police Station are on the hunt for three bodyguards assigned to popular Kamba TikToker and influencer Joan Mutheu. The trio is accused of sexually harassing attendees during last week’s Kamba Festival held at Carnivore Grounds.

According to reports filed by the victims, several attendees, including members of the press, were allegedly harassed and robbed of valuables by bodyguards tasked with protecting VVIPs. Lang’ata OCPD Monica Wanjiru Kimani confirmed that multiple victims have recorded statements, with the incidents being captured on camera during the event on September 14, 2024.

OCPD Kimani stated, “We have received reports from two female victims who were sexually harassed by an individual captured on camera while attending the Kamba Festival.” The festival’s organizers, Ricky B and Nicholas Kioko, are expected to be questioned regarding the allegations.

One of the attendees, a TikToker by the name of Mary Musyoka, who filed a report with the DCIO, claimed that she and her friends were robbed of their valuables and sexually harassed while recording artists’ performances.

Nominated Senator Tabitha Mutinda accompanied the victims to the police station and vowed to ensure justice is served, stating, “The culprits must be brought to book; no one is above the law.”

Senator Karen Nyamu, who was also in attendance, strongly condemned the incidents, calling them “sick and unfortunate.”
