In a fiery speech laced with bravado and defiance, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has declared that President William Samoei Ruto is unstoppable and will rule Kenya for the next eight years. Speaking during the Kerio Valley Interdenominational Prayer meeting in Elgeyo-Marakwet County, the controversial legislator tore into Ruto’s critics, calling their attempts to unseat the head of state in 2027 a “laughable fantasy.”
“Wataruka juu chini lakini mambo itakuwa sawa!” Sudi thundered to an electrified crowd, dismissing the opposition as desperate and delusional. “Let them shout, cry, or jump—Ruto is going nowhere. He will lead this country for ten years, no debate!”
Sudi, a close ally of the president, confidently brushed off allegations of abductions and human rights abuses leveled against the Kenya Kwanza government, insisting they were part of a smear campaign that would not dent Ruto’s chances in 2027.
“The noise is nothing but empty propaganda. We are focused on delivering development to Kenyans. Let them prepare for another defeat because they are going nowhere!” Sudi declared, his tone dripping with confidence.
In what appeared to be a swipe at opposition leader Raila Odinga and other critics, Sudi mocked their hopes of clinching the presidency in 2027, saying the Kenya Kwanza wave is too strong to be stopped. “We are unstoppable. This is Ruto’s time, and the next election will prove it. Let them dream on!”
The prayers, which were initially meant to promote peace in the banditry-ridden Kerio Valley, quickly turned into a political rally as Sudi’s comments sent the audience into a frenzy.
With temperatures rising in Kenya’s political landscape, Sudi’s bold remarks have left tongues wagging, painting a clear picture of Kenya Kwanza’s confidence heading into the next election. For now, the message from Ruto’s camp is clear: 2027 is already a done deal.
