Philanthropist and youth leader Dr. Vincent Munyoki has vowed to mobilize Kitui West boda boda riders to form a SACCO, ensuring financial stability and empowerment for thousands in the transport sector. Dr. Munyoki announced plans to spearhead a major harambee to raise the necessary funds, a move that has solidified his reputation as the man to watch ahead of the 2027 parliamentary race.

Speaking at a boda boda riders’ safety sensitization forum, where he was joined by Kitui West Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Madam Atemi and Kabati Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Julius Muthamba, Dr. Munyoki outlined his vision for a self-sustaining boda boda industry. He emphasized the need for organization, discipline, and financial literacy among riders, pledging to support them in setting up structured saving plans through dedicated training programs.

“This is not just about boda boda safety; it is about economic empowerment. We are going to form a SACCO, pool our resources, and ensure that every rider has access to affordable loans, insurance cover, and a secure future. Our future is bright if we take these steps now,” Dr. Munyoki stated passionately.

Beyond financial empowerment, Dr. Munyoki is also working on an initiative to help riders secure health insurance and access driving schools to acquire professional licenses, ensuring both their safety and career progression. His foundation, which has been actively involved in grassroots initiatives for the past two years, will oversee the implementation of these plans.

His commitment to the people of Kitui West has not gone unnoticed. For two years, the staunch youthful Roman Catholic believer has been an ever-present figure at community activities, never missing an opportunity to engage with residents. As calls for him to vie for the Kitui West parliamentary seat in 2027 grow louder, Dr. Munyoki’s hands-on approach and dedication to grassroots development are positioning him as the strongest challenger to incumbent MP Edith Nyenze.

Dr. Munyoki’s secretariat further reinforced his commitment to the riders by serving breakfast during the sensitization event, a small but symbolic act that reflected his deep connection with the people.
With his unwavering focus on community-driven solutions, Dr. Vincent Munyoki is proving to be a transformative force, turning the boda boda sector into a beacon of economic hope for Kitui West. As his influence continues to rise, many are beginning to see him not just as a youth mobilizer, but as the future leader of Kitui West.
