The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has formally charged Josphat Gichunge Kabeabea, chairman of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA), with soliciting and receiving a Sh5 million bribe from a businessman. Kabeabea appeared before the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court on Monday, where prosecution, led by Wesley Nyamache, told Senior Principal Magistrate Celesa Okore that the ACA board chair allegedly sought a financial advantage of Sh5 million from businessman Du Zhisheng.
