Kenyan musician Justina Syokau, popularly known as the 2020 hitmaker, has dismissed speculation about her health, saying her dramatic weight loss was intentional and part of a personal fitness journey.
In a statement addressing concerns raised on social media, Syokau said she had reduced her weight from 96 kilogrammes to 72 kilogrammes, attributing the change to her use of a product she referred to as โGPL1 Sidano.โ

The singer said she is now going to the gym to tone her body following the weight loss.
โSina ukimwi. I just lost weight from 96kgs to 72kgs. I used GPL1 Sidano, so I lost weight faster. Now in gym toning up. Please be kind when you come to my social media,โ she said.
Her message was also a plea to social media users to exercise restraint when commenting on people’s appearance and health, warning against making assumptions based on changes in someone’s body.

Syokau, who rose to prominence with her 2020 hit Twendi Twendi, has remained a recognisable figure in Kenya’s gospel music scene, often attracting public attention for her music and personal life.
Her latest remarks have renewed conversations about body changes, online speculation and the pressure public figures face over their appearance.

The singer’s statement does not independently establish the safety or effectiveness of the product she mentioned, and her comments should not be taken as medical advice.
