Kitui County Showcases Investment Potential Ahead of 2026 International Conference

Kitui County is gearing up to become Kenya’s next major investment hub after a successful two-day Kitui Investors’ Sensitization Forum that saw over 3,500 participants in attendance. The event, which has concluded today, laid the groundwork for the highly anticipated Kitui International Investors Conference slated for March 2026.

Governor Julius Malombe, while officially opening the forum, emphasized that Kitui holds immense investment potential within its six economic and investment zones, positioning it as a prime destination for investors.

“Today’s sensitization forum is a significant milestone in our journey towards unlocking the vast investment potential in Kitui County,” Governor Malombe stated.

    Infrastructure and Investment Readiness

The county boss assured investors that Kitui is actively working on expanding critical infrastructure to create a business-friendly environment. Key areas of focus include:
✅ Energy accessibility – ensuring stable power supply for industries and businesses.
✅ Clean water supply – improving water infrastructure for both domestic and industrial use.
✅ Digital connectivity – boosting internet access to enhance e-commerce and digital enterprises.

Governor Malombe further noted that the forum provided a strategic platform for forging partnerships, with the ultimate goal of driving Kitui’s economic transformation and creating sustainable job opportunities for future generations.

A Precursor to the 2026 International Conference

The massive turnout and enthusiasm at the sensitization forum signal growing confidence in Kitui’s potential. With the 2026 Kitui International Investors Conference fast approaching, the county government is intensifying efforts to attract both local and international investors.

The resounding success of this forum has sparked optimism among business leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders, who now see Kitui as an emerging economic powerhouse.
