Police in Uganda’s Ntugamano district have arrested a 110-year-old man for allegedly killing his 109-year-old wife after she denied him sex.
A report appearing on Uganda’s Monitor Newspaper indicate that the suspect reportedly stabbed his wife to death using a billhook after the deceased rejected her husband’s request to join him in bed on December 14.
Confirming the incident, Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson Samson Kasasira said that her granddaughter heard a commotion in the suspect’s house before rushing there , only to find him holding a hornbill and ordered her to go out, forcing her to seek help from neighbors.
Upon the arrival of neighbours, the wife of the suspect was already dead. Police also found the suspect unconscious locked in a room with a bottle of a chemical.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the couple was married and staying in the same house but sleeping in separate rooms.
