A woman has filed a lawsuit against popular Mugithi musician Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, accusing him of rape during his 2021 U.S. music tour.

In her petition, the woman has also named the Inspector General of Police, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Attorney General (AG), and the Witness Protection Agency, alleging failure to take action after she reported the matter.

The case, now before the courts, raises questions about how allegations against high-profile figures are investigated and handled by state institutions.

Neither Samidoh nor the government agencies mentioned have publicly commented on the allegations, but legal analysts say the suit could test institutional accountability and due process in sensitive cases.
