The husband of Mercy Mawia Kamuwetangi, a celebrated Mbaitu FM presenter, who passed away under tragic circumstances following a surgery at Nairobi Hospital has revealed the cause of her death.

Her husband, James Mwangi, revealed that she died due to a blood clot related to the surgery.

The couple had faced significant challenges in their quest to have a baby, enduring eight years of unsuccessful attempts before Mercy became pregnant.

Despite doctors’ warnings, she chose to continue with the pregnancy and took numerous precautions.

Unfortunately, she passed away when she was five months pregnant.

Her passing was marked by a requiem mass at AIC Milimani and a tribute event, and she will be laid to rest in Nyahururu, Laikipia County.
