Celebrated Kenyan fashion designer and events manager Ali Mumo has been laid to rest today at their home in Kwa-Vonza Ward, Kitui Rural Constituency, Kitui County in an event that well attended by local celebrities, elected and non-elected leaders led by former Kitui governor Hon. Charity Kaluki Ngilu.

Ali Mumo perished on second day of May at Kiangu along Kitui-Kibwezi Highway alongside his dancehall artist Larry Kasinga well known as “I-Man”after the vehicle they were traveling in lost direction at a sharp corner bend , vehering off the road, rolling several times.

Ali was eulogized as a shinning star in the fashion industry whose innovations and creativity will be dearly missed .
“Ali was a star in fashion industry. He worked so hard to come up with different styles of clothes and his work had started to pay. ” Said a mourner.

Local leaders present during the burial ceremony led by former Kitui County Governor Hon Charity Ngilu called on youths to extra vigilant while driving as , the future and present of the society lies in them.

” Last week we laid to rest the late Larry Kasinga, a friend and business patner of Ali, and today we are to bid goodbye to him. These are stars of our county that have dimmed too early. And that’s why as we accept God’s will, we plead with our youths to extra vigilant while using our roads ” Said Ngilu
“The fashion designer and the dancehall artist were close business patners who had grown developing their art and supporting each other. We ask that our youths hold each others arms in developing their talents.” She added
