Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has unleashed a fiery political salvo against the Kenya Kwanza administration, boldly rejecting an official Mashujaa Day invitation extended by Kitui County Commissioner Kipchumba Ruto—and in dramatic fashion.
Speaking in Mwingi North, a visibly agitated Kalonzo declared he would boycott the October 20th celebrations at Ithookwe Stadium, accusing the state of treating opposition leaders like political outcasts.

“Sitakuja! How do you expect me to come for Mashujaa Day when you can’t even allow me to speak? Ni madharau ya hali ya juu! Your namesake Ruto atakuja, sawa, he’s the President – but I’m not attending a state function that silences dissent,” Kalonzo thundered to a roaring crowd.
The former Vice President didn’t stop there. He likened the plight of the Kamba community in opposition to the biblical Israelites wandering the desert for 40 years, suggesting that the time to “cross over” and seize power had come.

“The Kamba people have been in the political wilderness long enough—ni wakati wa kuvuka Yordani,” he said, sending the crowd into wild applause.
Kalonzo tore into President Ruto’s government, describing it as dangerously intolerant, dismissive of the Constitution, and allergic to criticism. He accused the administration of choking democracy and treating opposition voices as enemies of the state.

Turning his guns on the newly reconstituted IEBC, Kalonzo launched a scathing attack, branding it “Ruto’s pet project” and warning Kenyans not to trust it with the 2027 general election.
“We will not allow our votes to be stolen again. We’ll tally our own results and announce the winner by 8:00 a.m. sharp! Ruto’s IEBC cannot be trusted,” he declared, vowing to protect the vote with military precision.
The Wiper boss’s no-holds-barred remarks now set the stage for a high-stakes political showdown, as the 2027 elections loom large and tensions continue to rise between the government and opposition.
