    National Anzauni Patron and Kyalo Kya Maendeeo founder Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli has gone to court seeking that it legalizes Kamba occasional two brews refered as “Kaluvu and Mawa”, barely two month after a court seating in Kiambu declared Kikuyu brew “Muratina” as not illicit.

    The Dubai based businessman who got installed on February this year as Anzauni National Patron overseeing atleast 400,000 clan members through his advocate Charles Mwalimu filed a petition at Kitui High Court praying the court to issue orders legitimizing Kaluvu and Mawa as original occasional beer for Kamba community.

    The petition which will be mentioned on May 28th this year seeks to distinguish Kaluvu and Mawa as cultural Kamba drinks and give the community exclusive right to use them under supervision of the law for communal purpose.

    In his petition that names the Cabinet Secretary for Interior And Attorney General as first and second respondents , The Kyalo Kya Maendeeo founder , Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli pleads with the court to exempt the two brews from licensing by proposing an amendment to Section 7 (3) of the Alcoholic Drink Control Act.
