Former Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of EAC, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands, and Regional Development, Peninah Malonza, has declared herself the “Messiah” sent to save the Kamba community from what she describes as the “eternal fire” of opposition politics.
Speaking today in Mutomo, Kitui South Constituency, Malonza expressed her readiness to rescue the Kamba people from the “opposition slavery” that she claims has been imposed on them by Wiper party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for nearly two decades.

Malonza did not hold back in her criticism of Kalonzo, accusing him of self-imposing himself as the leader of the opposition in Parliament. She argued that after ODM leader Raila Odinga stepped back from active politics to pursue the African Union Chairperson role, it should have left Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, by virtue of his position as the Minority Leader, as the rightful opposition leader.

In a stern warning to Kalonzo, Malonza cautioned him against further misleading the Kamba community, stating that it was time for new leadership that would prioritize their interests and ensure they were no longer confined to the opposition side of government.
