Nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba made waves during today’s Senate impeachment proceedings against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, not just for her presence but for revealing her pregnancy as she entered the Senate.

A photo of her walking into the session quickly went viral, followed by another image showing her shaking hands with DP Gachagua in the gallery, sparking widespread online buzz.

The impeachment motion, moved by Hon. Mwengi Mutuse, encountered a major hurdle when Deputy President Gachagua’s lawyer, Elisha Ongoya, put Mutuse under intense scrutiny. Ongoya’s legal expertise left the MP appearing unprepared and unable to effectively defend the evidence presented against the Deputy President.

This moment of uncertainty raised questions about the strength of the case against Gachagua, as Mutuse appeared unsure and struggled with the details under questioning.

The impeachment proceedings are set to continue tomorrow, with heightened anticipation surrounding both the legal battle and the political fallout.
