Police in Mlolongo, Machakos County, have arrested a woman suspected of poisoning her three young children following an alleged domestic dispute with her husband.
The suspect, Linet Mubaba, was taken into custody on Tuesday after the bodies of her children—one-year-old twins and a four-year-old child—were discovered inside their rented house in Phase 3 area of Mlolongo, Athi River.
Incident Linked to Domestic Dispute
Preliminary police findings indicate that the incident may have occurred shortly after a disagreement between Mubaba and her husband, Alex Mogeni, who is a driver by profession.

According to police reports seen by Channel 15 News, Mubaba is alleged to have informed the caretaker of the residential building that she was running late and requested him to check on her children. Upon gaining access to the house, the caretaker reportedly found all three children unresponsive and immediately alerted authorities.
Suspect Fled Before Arrest
Investigators say Mubaba is believed to have fled the scene shortly after the incident. However, police launched a manhunt and later traced and arrested her. She is currently being held at Mlolongo Police Station, pending further investigations and possible arraignment in court.
Bodies Moved to City Mortuary
The bodies of the three children have since been transferred to the City Mortuary in Nairobi, where postmortem examinations are expected to be conducted to establish the exact cause of death, including whether poisoning was involved.

Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy, including the events leading up to the suspected poisoning and the nature of the alleged domestic dispute.
Authorities have described the incident as deeply disturbing, as the country grapples with rising cases of domestic-related tragedies involving children.
