In a chilling turn of events, the decomposing body of missing British national Campbell Scott has been discovered deep inside Makongo forest in Makueni County, stuffed in a green sack, sending shockwaves across Kenya and beyond.

Scott, a 58-year-old senior director at the London-based data analytics giant FICO, vanished without a trace nearly two weeks ago after arriving in Nairobi for a business conference. His disappearance had sparked an international search, with the DCI and Interpol scrambling to trace his last steps.

The grim discovery was made on Saturday morning by unsuspecting herders who stumbled upon the eerie, foul-smelling sack in the dense Kaiti division. County Commander Alice Kimeli confirmed the identity of the body and announced that a post-mortem would be conducted on Tuesday at Makueni County Referral Hospital to uncover the cause of death.

Shockingly, Scott was last seen walking out of the luxurious JW Marriott Hotel in Westlands on Sunday, February 16, never to return. CCTV footage revealed his mysterious movements, leaving and returning to the hotel on Saturday, February 15, before stepping out for the final time on Sunday morning.

His concerned colleagues, expecting him at a scheduled meeting, raised the alarm when he failed to show up. All calls to his phone went unanswered, triggering panic and an immediate missing persons report at Parklands Police Station.

Desperate investigators combed through Westlands’ high-end bars and hotels, but Scott had seemingly vanished into thin air. As days passed with no leads, fears of foul play intensified—and those fears were horrifyingly confirmed with the discovery of his lifeless body in Makueni, over 140 kilometers away from where he was last seen.

On Monday, a high-profile team of detectives from Nairobi, joined by UK Embassy officials, rushed to the remote forest to piece together what many now suspect to be a gruesome murder. How did Scott end up in Makueni? Who wanted him dead? And why?

With the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Interpol now fully engaged, the burning question remains: Was this a calculated execution, or did Scott stumble into a deadly trap?

The mystery surrounding his death has only deepened, leaving more questions than answers. Kenya now watches as detectives race against time to unravel the shocking truth behind this high-profile death.
