Former Nairobi Governor Hon Mike Mbuvi Sonko has denied authenticity of a trending picture showing a woman exposing herself during installation ceremony of National Anzauni Patron Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli, which occured last week at his residence in Kitui’s Misuuni Village, Kitui Central Constituency.
“After thorough investigations and going through all the original photos and videos taken during the Anzauni clan function in Kitui last weekend where I was among the invited chief guests, it has come to my attention that the alleged photo of a woman seated behind me exposing her rosecoco is photoshopped.” Said Sonko via his social media accounts.
The former Nairobi County boss further said that the image of the woman who sat one row behind him was edited to suggest that her private was exposed, which is not the case.
“Although there were different women who sat on that particular seat behind me which was purposely reserved for CS Penina Malonza who arrived at the function after we were all seated, we have keenly compared the photo with the original one severally and arrived at the conclusion of the photo being a photoshop. Surely, why would someone take an image of a Photoshoped rosecoco and plant it on the thighs of an innocent woman?” Said Sonko
Following the cyber bullying fronted towards the innocent woman, Sonko has offered to help her with free counseling session and has called on members of press and bloggers to be censor such kind of photos from going to press.
“I am appealing to anyone who is in contact with her to immediately get in touch with me or bring her to my offices so that we can make arrangements to sponsor her and her family for counselling sessions.” He added
The trending photoshoped image has been talk of the town on internet for the last last week , with internet users accusing the said woman of doing less to cover herself during a public event.
The installation ceremony of Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli as National Anzauni Patron was well attended by over 1000 people and over 200 guests .
Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli is also the Kyalo Kya Maendeeo Founder. Late last year he was awarded an honorary degree in Humane Letters by the Breakthrough International University-USA through their constituent college following his involvement with life changing women empowerment projects in Kitui County.
