A sitting Nairobi Member of County Assembly (MCA) and two other suspects have been charged with robbery with violence following their arrest over an alleged attack on three victims in Donholm, Nairobi.

Hon. Aaron Kang’ara Wangari, the MCA for Viwandani Ward in Makadara Constituency, appeared before the Makadara Law Courts alongside Kefa Munyoro and Zablon Kirima Mwangi on Tuesday to face charges linked to the June 26, 2026 incident.

According to investigators, the three allegedly attacked and violently robbed three people of cash and other valuables before fleeing the scene. Detectives launched investigations that culminated in their arrest and subsequent arraignment.

The prosecution told the court that the suspects acted jointly during the robbery, with investigations establishing that the victims were dispossessed of money and personal valuables through violence.

All three accused pleaded not guilty to the robbery with violence charges.

The Makadara Law Courts granted each accused a bond of Sh1 million with an alternative cash bail of Sh500,000 pending the hearing and determination of the case.

The matter will proceed to trial as prosecutors seek to prove the charges against the three, while the accused remain presumed innocent unless proven guilty by the court.
