In a move aimed at bringing together the Kamba Community in celebrating her rich culture and traditions, National Anzauni Patron Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli has partnered with event organizers and notable Kamba celebrities towards putting a mother festival of it’s kind in Kitui Town.

The event which will be held in the month of August at Woods Africa, located in Kitui Central and will run for several days into the weekend. The event organizers intend to have cultural performances as well display and tasting of now forgotten Kamba traditional dishes. There will be competitions in different categories of performances and tokens will paid to winning teams .

According to National Anzauni Clan Patron Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli and who is a leader of over 400,000 clan members nationwide, the event will purpose to recognize and promote the Kamba culture and will be open to all Kamba Clans.
“This Festival will be for all Akamba Clans.
We will raise funds together to make this the biggest event ever. Proceeds will go to the winning and participating teams and to charity programmes selected by the organisers. Let us come together as a community. Let’s take pride in and celebrate our traditional values and practices.” Said Dr Muli

Following Dr Augustus Muli’s installation as National Anzauni Patron on February this year, the Dubai based businessman has embarked on a journey of bringing the Kamba Community together and championing for rebirth of clan administration in Kamba community.

Earlier this month, the Kyalo Kya Maendeeo founder went to court through his lawyer Charles Mwalimu petitioning the court to legalize Kamba traditional brews Kaluvu and Mawa. In his petition that was filed at High Court in Kitui, Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli wants the court to allow him to supervise production of the local brews through the local administration solely for communal events and not commercial.
