In a strategic move to strengthen county legislative functions, the Speaker of the Kitui County Assembly, accompanied by Deputy Speaker Hon. Christopher Nzioka Nzilu (MCA Kyangwithya West), have held a consultative meeting with Ms. Lonah Losem, CEO of the County Assemblies Forum (CAF).
The meeting, aimed at enhancing collaboration between Kitui County Assembly and CAF, centered around upcoming CAF programs and potential partnership opportunities to support assembly members in their core functions of legislation, oversight, and representation.
The dialogue highlighted the Assembly’s commitment to bolstering members’ welfare and capacity, with Speaker Nzilu underscoring the importance of strengthening county governance structures through robust representation and improved service delivery. By joining hands with CAF, Kitui’s Assembly leadership aims to ensure that members have access to resources and training that align with national and regional legislative standards.
