The war of words between celebrated Kamba gospel artists Stephen Kasolo and Stella Mengele has taken a new twist, with Mengele now vowing to take legal action.
In a cryptic message, Mengele hinted at seeking legal redress, stating:
“There are people who steal from you and shout ‘Mwizi,’ you end up beaten & robbed. Others hurt you & cry loudest. Legal accountability on what we say is our only way out. To Court 🙏.”
Meanwhile, Kasolo has turned to TikTok to air fresh grievances, this time involving a dowry homecoming event in Tala late last year. According to Kasolo, a client named Rhoda Grootveld—the bride of the day—was verbally assaulted by Mengele over her outfit. Allegedly, Mengele insulted Rhoda, claiming her bra was “shapeless and the size of a basket.”
During the live TikTok feed, Rhoda and her husband publicly backed Kasolo, daring Mengele to take the matter to court while insisting she had no case.
The genesis of this feud traces back to Mengele’s adoption of the controversial Kamba artist Ndeke Ya Muthanga, whom Kasolo accuses of disrespecting him and causing harm while Mengele fails to control him.
Adding to the drama, Ndeke Ya Muthanga was fired from Kwitu FM earlier this week, barely weeks into his radio job. Reports also indicate that a bread company that had contracted him as a brand ambassador has also dropped him.
