Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has reaffirmed his commitment to defending the legacy of ODM leader Raila Odinga, declaring that he will not allow leaders who rose to power through Raila’s influence to turn their backs on him.

Speaking on Saturday during a Live Public Engagement forum in Sigomre, Ugunja Constituency, Siaya County, Kalonzo delivered a fiery message, emphasizing unity and loyalty within the Azimio coalition.

“I will stick with Governor Orengo and Governor Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o to ensure that Raila’s honor is not tarnished by anyone getting seats and forgetting!”
    ~ Kalonzo Musyoka

Kalonzo, who has increasingly positioned himself as Raila Odinga’s most trusted political partner, warned that those who attempt to undermine Raila’s influence in Nyanza or nationally will face stiff resistance. He called on leaders from the region to uphold political discipline, gratitude, and ideological consistency.

The Siaya event—attended by local leaders, grassroots mobilisers, and hundreds of residents—was part of Kalonzo’s broader strategy to solidify his standing ahead of the 2027 General Election, where he is expected to be Azimio’s presidential flagbearer.

Kalonzo praised Siaya Governor James Orengo and Kisumu Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, describing them as steadfast defenders of Raila’s political legacy. He assured residents that the Azimio coalition remains intact and is preparing a strong comeback.
