The remains of the late Malava Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi, arrived at the Kisumu International Airport this morning in a deeply moving procession, marking the beginning of his final journey home ahead of his burial on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

The fallen legislator, whose untimely demise sent shockwaves through the political landscape, was received with solemnity by a delegation of leaders led by the Funeral Ad Hoc Committee chairman, Hon. Benard Shinali (Ikolomani).

The group, comprising key Western Kenya leaders, included Hon. Nabii Nabwera (Lugari), Hon. Emanuel Wangwe (Navakholo), Hon. Elsie Muhanda (Kakamega), Hon. Sen. Bonnie Khalwale (Kakamega), and Hon. John Walukhe (Sirisio), among others.

The arrival of Hon. Injendi’s casket in Kisumu was not just a routine transition; it was a powerful moment of reflection for a region that had lost a dedicated leader. His colleagues, many of whom had worked alongside him in shaping policy and representing the people of Malava, stood in solidarity, offering their final respects before the cortege proceeded to his ancestral home.

Hon. Injendi’s passing leaves behind a legacy of service and commitment to the people of Malava. His burial is expected to be attended by top national leaders, marking a significant moment in Kenya’s political space as both friends and foes come together to bid farewell.

As the nation prepares for his final send-off, tributes continue to pour in, painting a picture of a man who fought tirelessly for his constituents. The void left behind is undeniable, but his contributions to the people of Malava and the larger Kakamega region will remain etched in history.
