Wiper Party parliamentary aspirant Michael Kavate Kanyanya, who has emerged as one of the most visible political figures in Mwingi North ahead of the 2027 General Election, has condemned the killing of four residents in the latest attack that has shaken the constituency.

Mr Kanyanya expressed his condolences to the bereaved families, describing the deaths as a tragic loss not only to the affected households but also to the entire Mwingi North community.

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of innocent lives in this unfortunate incident. My thoughts and prayers are with the families, relatives and friends of the victims during this difficult period of mourning,” he said in a statement.

The youthful politician, whose grassroots mobilization campaigns have gained momentum across the constituency, called on security agencies to move swiftly and apprehend those responsible for the killings.

He said residents have a right to live and work in a secure environment, adding that recurring attacks in parts of Mwingi North have left many families living in fear.

“The continued loss of lives is unacceptable. We urge the government and security agencies to take decisive action to protect our people and ensure those behind these attacks face the full force of the law,” he said.

Mr Kanyanya also appealed for calm among residents and urged leaders to work together in promoting peace and security in the region.

His statement comes amid growing concern over rising insecurity in parts of Tseikuru and neighbouring areas, where residents have repeatedly called for increased security patrols and lasting solutions to recurring attacks.
