The 10,000-seater Ithookwe Stadium in Kitui County is taking shape rapidly, with construction works now estimated to be about 80% complete — just over a month before Kenya marks Mashujaa Day on October 20th.

Fresh images obtained by Channel 15 News, including a striking drone shot captured by Ray Omollo, show lush green grass already planted on the pitch and significant progress on the terraces and surrounding infrastructure.

The stadium is expected to be fully ready in time for the national holiday, underscoring Kitui County’s growing prominence as a host for major state functions.
