Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a fiery statement predicting President William Ruto’s political downfall, declaring that he will only meet Ruto when he surrenders power to the people of Kenya.

Speaking in Kajiado County, where he was hosted by Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, Kalonzo did not hold back his criticism of the Kenya Kwanza government.

“Dalili ya mvua ni nini? Mawingu!” Kalonzo said, quoting a Swahili proverb meaning ‘The signs of rain are clouds.’ “Ruto will continue being restless until he is driven home by the people of Kenya. That is when I will meet Ruto—when he hands over the instruments of power.”
A Visit of Condolence Turns Political
Kalonzo had traveled to Purko Ward, Kajiado Central, to condole with the family of the late Simon Ole Saitoti, the Wiper MCA who passed away last week. Hon. Saitoti, who served as the Minority Whip in the Kajiado County Assembly, was widely respected across political divides.

“To Hon. Saitoti’s family and friends, know that we will take care of you at this most difficult time,” Kalonzo assured.
However, his visit quickly took a political turn as he took a swipe at Ruto’s policies.

“Ruto, don’t change the DNA of our chapatis the same way you want to change the DNA of our livestock!” he quipped, in a statement that left the crowd in laughter and applause.
Maa and Kamba Unity on Display
Governor Ole Lenku, who welcomed Kalonzo to Kajiado, emphasized the strong ties between the Maa Nation and the people of Lower Eastern.

“The community in Kajiado is very grateful for the support of the Lower Eastern region in rescuing our livestock through pasture during dry spells. We have enjoyed great cooperation and neighborliness for generations,” Ole Lenku said.

The event attracted a high-profile delegation, including Kajiado Senator Samuel Seki, Kitui Senator Enock Wambua, Kajiado North MP Onesmus Ngogoyo, and several MCAs from Kajiado, Machakos, Kitui, and Makueni.
2027 Elections in Sight?
With the next general election looming, Kalonzo’s bold remarks suggest he is positioning himself as a key player in the opposition’s fight against Ruto. His message was clear—Ruto’s presidency is on borrowed time, and the people will have the final say.

As the political landscape heats up, all eyes are now on Kalonzo Musyoka and the Wiper Party. Could this be the beginning of a new political wave against Kenya Kwanza? Time will tell.
