Wiper party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has urged President William Ruto to consider having a fresh look at the way a national conversation in regards to matters state of the nation should be adressed immediately .
Kalonzo warned the President that the state of the country is dire and requires immediate screening.
“If we are not careful, all of us will be thrown out by Gen Z. Can the President order the Inspector to either retire or remove the police from the streets” He warned

The former Vice President regretted that it took an inordinate delay to get the first product that is the IEBC (Amendment) Act, 2024 of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) following Anti-Finance protests, warning further the head of the state , there is Gen Z revolution can be wished away.

Kalonzo asked the the president to order Inspector General of the National Police Service Japeth Koome to resign and take responsibility for the deaths of Anti-Finance Bill protestors.
“42 young Kenyans lost their lives because they were exercising their constitutional rights to peaceably assemble, demonstrate and picket. Mr President, the Army should be ordered off our streets and sent back to the barracks.” He said
Kalonzo was speaking during the signing IEBC bill into law which now paves way for establishment of the selection panel for appointment of IEBC commissioners.

Present also during the signing of the IEBC into law at KICC Ballroom were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon Musalia Mudavadi, Speakers Moses Wetang’ula and Hon Amason Kingi (Senate), Leaders of Majority Kimani Ichung’wah (National Assembly), Aaron Cheruiyot (Senate), Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and a host of other leaders.
