Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested three suspects linked to the recent attack on Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi at Java House, West End Mall in Kisumu County.

The trio—Carlos Owiti alias Kalonje (24) from Nyalenda, Eric Otieno alias Dude (39) from Manyatta, and Vincent Odhiambo alias Tinga (27), also from Nyalenda—are currently in police custody as authorities finalize preparations to arraign them in court.

According to the DCI, investigations into the incident have been intensified, with detectives widening the dragnet to apprehend additional suspects believed to have been involved in the attack that shocked the political scene.

The agency has commended members of the public for providing crucial information that led to the arrests, urging continued cooperation to ensure all those behind the incident are brought to justice.

The attack on Senator Osotsi sparked widespread concern, raising fresh questions over the safety of public leaders and the rising cases of violence in public spaces.

DCI has assured the public that more updates will be issued as the investigations progress.
