“If the courts rule in favor of Dr. Muli, I will respect the decision and allow the IEBC reconstitution process to proceed,” Kalonzo said, a statement many viewed as an uncharacteristic concession from the seasoned politician.

Laughing off Kalonzo’s opposition stance, Muli declared, “The Akamba Clans Council of Elders works with the government in power. This is how progress is achieved. Kalonzo’s outdated politics of defiance have done nothing for our people.”
Muli dismissed Kalonzo’s claim that Kambas do not believe in clan-based politics, arguing that the elders’ decision reflects the voice of the community. “The people are tired of empty speeches and opposition for the sake of it. They want leaders who can deliver results,” Muli stated emphatically.
