A sombre mood engulfed Ndili village, Ikutha ward in Kitui South Constituency as fallen Kitui County hansard official was laid to rest today.
Late Teddy Matuku, was remembered as a dedicated , humble and hardworking county assembly official who untill his demise was working as senior hansard editor at Kitui County Assembly. He died on Friday 24th May after a short illness.
Present during Teddy’s send off were Hon. Hussein Mwandia (Ikutha), Hon. Dominic Mwamisi (Mutha), Hon. Muthama Kieti (Athi), Hon. Mathew Vuthi (Chuluni), CECM for Finance, Economic Planning and Revenue Management Mr. Peter Mwikya Kilonzo, Deputy Clerk of Assembly Lucy Waema, Hansard Association of Kenya Organizing Secretary Resian Ndilai, among other senior county officers.
Kitui County Speaker Kinengo Katisya said Mr. Teddy Matuku was not just a staff but a friend to many and an integral part of the Assembly team and that and that he has left an indelible mark for his selfless service in the County Assembly of Kitui.
The Deputy Clerk Lucy Waema who represented the Kitui County Assembly, staffs, eulogized the late Matuku as a dedicated and cherished staff member. ” His dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to his duty will always be remembered and honoured”, added Madam Waema.
