Kamba gospel artist Stella Mengele has publicly addressed claims circulating online about her past legal dispute with Kamba gospel singer Stephen Kasolo Kitole, insisting that the court case against the artist was formally withdrawn following a reconciliation process between their families.

In a statement shared on her social media platforms, Mengele revealed that she instructed her lawyers to withdraw the case on March 2, shortly after what she described as a final reconciliation meeting involving both families.

“I withdrew Kasolo’s case on the 2nd of March after our final reconciliation meeting with our parents which happened in the last week of February this year,” she said.

According to her, the reconciliation process was not a sudden decision but part of a lengthy journey that involved elders and spiritual leaders close to both parties.
She said the process included the participation of Kasolo’s mother, her own mother, and Bishop Munuve, whom she described as a spiritual mentor who played a key role in guiding the reconciliation efforts.

    Denies KSh 700K Settlement Claims
Mengele strongly dismissed allegations circulating online suggesting that she had received KSh 700,000 to withdraw the case against the gospel singer.

The claims were recently raised by US-based Kenyan blogger Frank Neva, who alleged that the money had been paid to facilitate the withdrawal of the case.

However, Mengele challenged those making the claims to produce evidence supporting the allegation.

“Show me where and for what reason your alleged 700K was paid. Under what circumstances and in this issue what would it have been for?” she posed.

She further accused the blogger of attempting to gain publicity using her name, saying she had remained silent for a long time despite what she termed as false accusations.

“There is a young man looking for fame using my name. I have kept quiet through his lies and I won’t let him seek glory over my forgiveness of Kasolo or any other part of my life,” she said.

Email Shows Instructions to Withdraw Case
To support her position, Mengele shared screenshots of email communication indicating that she had formally instructed her lawyer to withdraw the cases.

In the email addressed to her advocate, she wrote: “Please take this as my formal instruction to withdraw both cases, subject to the condition that each party bears their own legal costs incurred to date.”

The message suggests that the legal dispute between the two parties was resolved through reconciliation and legal withdrawal procedures.

    Long-Running Online Dispute

The dispute between Stephen Kasolo Kitole and Stella Mengele had previously attracted significant attention on social media after a series of online exchanges escalated into legal complaints.

At one point, the matter drew widespread debate among fans of Kamba gospel music, with calls for the two to resolve the issue amicably.

With Mengele now stating that the case was withdrawn earlier this year, the latest developments appear to confirm that both parties had moved toward reconciliation despite renewed controversy online.
