A cloud of grief enveloped Unyaa village in Mulutu, Kitui Central Constituency, as Collins Mumo, the firstborn son of celebrated Kamba radio presenter Star Kivisi, was laid to rest today. Mumo, who passed away late last month following a short illness, was buried at his father’s homestead amid an outpouring of condolences and support.
Family, friends, and colleagues gathered in large numbers to pay their final respects. Among the mourners were renowned Kamba media personalities such as DJ Biado and Ututi Wa Kyuma, who joined the bereaved family to provide comfort during this difficult time.
During the emotional ceremony, speakers described Mumo as a bright and loving young man whose untimely demise had left a void that would be hard to fill. Star Kivisi, known for his vibrant personality on air, was visibly overwhelmed as he bade a tearful farewell to his son.
