Shock and fear have gripped Mutuluni Village in Kitui East Constituency after detectives arrested a 50-year-old man suspected of orchestrating the brutal stabbing to death of a middle-aged man in a chilling Friday night attack.

According to investigators familiar with the case, the suspect allegedly repeatedly stabbed the victim using a kitchen knife, leaving him fatally wounded in what police describe as a violent and cold-blooded attack.

Following the killing, detectives launched a manhunt that culminated in the suspect’s dramatic arrest in Kasarani Village. He was immediately taken into custody and is currently detained at Nzambani Police Station, where he is being held as investigations intensify.

Police say the motive behind the deadly stabbing remains a mystery, with detectives working to piece together the events that led to the gruesome killing. The suspect is expected to be arraigned in court on Monday.

The incident has sent shockwaves across Ngungi Location, with residents expressing fear and outrage as they demand swift justice over the violent loss of life.
