Former Prime Minster and ODM party leader Raila Amolo Odinga is currently in Dubai meeting with former President Uhuru Kenyatta in a move aimed at stopping him from joining forces with President William Ruto forming a government of national unity.
According to a publication by the Sunday Nation , retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned Raila of joining Ruto’s government telling him that it’s likely to fall anytime and he could be the biggest beneficiary.
The Sunday Nation states that the plan would be for Raila to team up with Muhoho Kenyatta to defeat President William Ruto and in return Uhuru would mobilize Mount Kenya region to rally fully behind him.
The paper further reports that Raila had been offered five cabinet slots in the national government of unity President William Ruto had told the nation he will form.
A faction of Azimio La Umoja Coalition led by Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has already distanced itself from holding national dialogue related to ongoing Gen Z protest .
