Premier League referee David Coote has been suspended by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) after a video surfaced in which he allegedly used offensive language to describe Liverpool FC and former manager Jurgen Klopp.

In the footage, Coote reportedly made derogatory remarks about the club and its ex-manager, calling Klopp a slur and Liverpool “s***.”

The PGMOL has initiated a full investigation and will refrain from further comments until the process concludes. Coote reportedly denies any misconduct, asserting the video is not authentic, potentially manipulated through deepfake technology.
