Celebrated Mbaitu Fm breakfast show presenter James Malombe alias “Musungu Kyumbe” is dead .
The celebrated king of airwaves popularly known to his fans as ” Musungu Kyumbe” , ( the white man) due to his alibinism passed away today at Kenyatta National Hospital where he had been admitted since April due to kidney failure , where he had been been put on renal dialysis twice a week.
Malombe started his broadcast career at Hon Charity Ngilu’s Syokimau FM, before moving to sister Station Mbaitu Fm. He would later switch to Athiani Fm together with Sammy Mulinge alias ‘Man Mbilo’ before making turn around transfer to Mbaitu Fm.
On March 7 2020, late popular broadcaster survived a road accident at Katangi along the Machakos-Kitui road, but a week after the accident he developed difficulties in walking and had to be supported to walk about.
Following the news of his death, his fans and prominent Kamba leaders have taken took to social media to mourn him.
