In a distressing turn of events in Kinyui, Matungulu Sub-County, Machakos County, a police officer has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend multiple times in a violent altercation. The officer reportedly attacked his partner, stabbing her in the neck and back following an argument over an undisclosed issue.
The victim’s parents quickly rushed her to Kagundo Level 4 Hospital, where she tragically passed away while receiving medical treatment.
In a swift response, authorities launched a manhunt for the suspect, who fled the scene. The police managed to track him down as he attempted to escape the town, and he is currently in custody as investigations continue.
The body of the deceased is now at the hospital mortuary awaiting a postmortem. This heartbreaking incident comes amid rising concerns over gender-based violence in the country, with women being particularly affected.
