Nguni Ward MCA Jeremiah Mutua today paid a courtesy call to former Kitui gubernatorial candidate and current PS Jonathan Mueke at Kilimo House this morning. Their meeting, which centered on the empowerment of youth and women in Nguni Ward, marks a significant moment of political alignment between local Kitui leaders and the vision of the Ministry of Livestock.

During their tea meeting, MCA Mutua highlighted the ongoing initiatives in Nguni that aim to elevate the youth and women in his constituency. “I was pleased to hear about the good work he is doing, especially in empowering the youth and women,” said PS Mueke. The former gubernatorial candidate emphasized his support for grassroots development, signaling his commitment to backing Mutua’s initiatives moving forward.

The strong rapport between the two leaders comes at a time when Kitui’s political landscape is experiencing significant shifts. Despite the ongoing tensions over the Kamba-Somali pastoralist conflict, Mutua’s efforts to foster peace and development seem to be gaining momentum.

“There is a shared vision between my office and Hon. Mutua’s leadership in Nguni Ward,” Mueke shared, “and we are both committed to ensuring that the youth and women have opportunities to thrive.”
The alignment between Mutua, a rising star in Kitui’s political scene, and PS Mueke, widely respected for his gubernatorial bid and his vision for the future of the county, is seen by many as a powerful collaboration that could pave the way for a more unified approach to Kitui’s development challenges.

This meeting is likely to signal a deeper partnership between county leaders and the Ministry of Livestock, as they work together to address the county’s most pressing issues.
