Amid rising political speculation, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has strongly denied allegations that he is secretly plotting to form a new party after dissolving ANC to join UDA. He refuted claims linking him to the newly rebranded Democratic National Alliance (DNA), insisting that he remains firmly in government with no plans to defect.

Mudavadi emphasized that the ANC-UDA merger was a voluntary decision supported by party members, dismissing the rumors as baseless attempts to destabilize the ruling coalition. While he puts the speculation to rest, the mystery behind DNA’s resurgence continues to fuel political intrigue.

“I want to make it categorically clear that I am fully committed to the government of the day, and I have no intentions of being swayed or moving out,” Mudavadi stated in a press briefing.

The speculation began circulating after insiders claimed that Mudavadi was behind the mysterious resurgence of DNA, fueling suspicions that he was laying the groundwork for an independent political vehicle ahead of the 2027 general election. However, the Prime CS swiftly quashed these rumors, emphasizing that the merger between ANC and UDA was a voluntary and well-supported decision by party members.

“My political journey is an open book. ANC voluntarily merged with UDA, and this was a collective decision. There is no hidden agenda,” he affirmed.

Political analysts argue that the rumors surrounding Mudavadi’s alleged association with DNA could be part of a broader scheme to destabilize the ruling coalition, with some suggesting that factions within Kenya Kwanza may be feeling the heat of internal power struggles.
