Detectives in Ivonangya Village, Kyuso, Mwingi North Sub-County are hunting for suspects believed to have murdered a 80-year old granny , earlier today before going into hiding.
According to a detective handling the case who spoke to Channel 15 digital team , the remains of the 80-year old woman was found this morning at her farm.
The motive behind the killing has not yet been established although early reports indicate there were land wrangles between the old woman and an extended family member.
In other news, three suspects believed to have been involved in a series of livestock theft in Thatha location, Kithyoko Sub-County have been nabbed by locals and handed to Kithyoko Police Station.
In related crime incident, a livestock thief has been arrested this morning in Mavoloni, Yatta with cow meat believed to have been stolen.
Police had to be called in to stop members of the public from setting the suspect ablaze, after putting the his motorcycle on fire.
The suspect has already been booked at Kithimani Police Station pending arraignment in court tomorrow.
