Atleast 125 interns from Makueni County will bennefit from specialized skills in their respective fields in preparation of their future career opportunities. This is after they were hired by Makueni County Government and place across various County departments.

Speaking to Channel 15 News shortly after the launch of placement exercise Makueni Deputy Governor Lucy Mulili, said the interns will spend the next year working in Makueni during where they will refine their skills and uncover their talents.

During their period of service and training the interns will receive a monthly stipend of 15,000 Ksh to support their upkeep.
The Deputy Governor called on the interne to to remain dedicated and take their training seriously, at the same time underscored the importance of developing strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective interaction with supervisors and peers across the 16 departments where they will be deployed.

The event which was held at Greenpark on Wednesday was also attended by several dignitaries, including County MCA’s and professions from the County.
