A major drug trafficking operation was foiled in Kandara, Murang’a County, after Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) detectives arrested a woman found in possession of bhang worth Sh6.7 million
The suspect, identified as Eunice Wangui Kimani, was apprehended at her residence following a coordinated sting operation informed by a tip-off from members of the public. A search of her premises led to the discovery of 13 gunny bags filled with 225 kilograms of bhang.

Detectives also recovered packaging materials suspected to be used for distribution, pointing to a well-organized and possibly far-reaching drug trafficking syndicate.
Eunice is currently in custody as police process her for court. The seized narcotics have been secured as exhibits, and investigations are underway to identify and dismantle the wider network behind the illicit trade.

Authorities have commended members of the public for their vigilance and urged continued cooperation in the ongoing war against narcotics.
